A 40-year-old Debe man was gunned down while waiting to meet a customer to sell his car in Arima on Monday night.
According to reports Darren Harnarine and a friend went to the corner of O’Meara Road and the Priority Bus Route, Arima, at around 7.30 pm to meet a man who was interested in buying his Nissan Tiida.
The friend left to buy a drink at a nearby shop and on returning saw Harnarine bleeding from gunshot wounds.
Police on patrol took Harnarine to the Arima Hospital where he was declared dead.
Investigators said passers-by saw two gunmen running through a nearby parking lot.
Police said Harnarine was shot five times.
Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing inquiries.
