Sunday evening is the timeline given by the government for the completion of repair work to the dormitory at the Fire Service Headquarters in Port of Spain.
This was revealed by the Minister of the National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, when questioned on the issue in the parliament Friday.
The Opposition wanted to know in light of the reports fire officers have had to use the ‘appliance bay’ for resting purposes, can the Minister indicate when the dormitory at Head Quarters will be repaired.
It was revealed a breakdown of air condition units in the dormitory was brought to the attention of the Chief Fire Officer earlier this week and repair work will be completed by Sunday based on information received the Minister informed the parliament.
