A 25-year-old man Cocorite was gunned down on Thursday morning.
According to reports Tyrell Williams was liming with a group of men near the Water Hole basketball court at around 11.30 am when he was confronted by a man who shot him several times.
Residents heard the gunfire and called the police. Residents in the area said Williams was not known to them.
According to ADD News TT, one resident who asked not to be named said he believed Williams wanted to form a gang in the area but was met with opposition from local criminals.
Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region I are continuing enquiries
