The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued a Hazardous Seas Alert #1 – Yellow Level.
Strong low level winds are expected to agitate sea conditions with waves forecast to reach up to 3 metres in open waters. Rough sea conditions are expected to reach the exposed shorelines around 6:00a.m today, Tuesday 17th December 2019.
The TTMS advises that sea goers:
- monitor sea conditions
- exercise caution in coastal and offshore waters
- be alert for large waves and dangerous currents
- follow the instructions of lifeguards
- monitor official updates from the TTMS
