WEATHER UPDATE: Afternoon showers expected

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has predicted a predominantly hot and sunny day, with a few showers developing by late morning.

There is a medium chance (60%) of an isolated heavy afternoon shower/thunderstorm favouring northern and western areas of Trinidad.

Gusty winds and street flooding may be expected in heavy downpours.

Mostly settled evening and clear night.
