The US Embassy in Nassau has begun helping victims of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas . Helicopters were sent to evacuate injured from Abaco, flying back to Nassau for urgent care.
Meanwhile the Rand hospital had to be evacuated due to flooding. Rand Memorial Hospital is located in Freeport Grand Bahama. Hurricane Dorian forced patients to be evacuated from the hospital.
Five confirmed fatalities are listed as a result of Dorian. The hurricane is listed as stationary bring more rain and flooding to already devastated areas.
