DCP McDonald Jacob says illegal quarrying linked to serious crime

The Nation’s present Top Cop Deputy Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob believes that dealing with illegal quarrying will have a positive effect on crime.
He visited an exercise on Thursday meant to deal with illegal quarrying in what he called a multi – agency approach where an illegal excavator was retrieved.
He said the exercise included the Defense Force, the Forestry Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries which has line responsibilities for quarrying in Trinidad and Tobago.
