Police are now investigating the death of a three-year-old girl who drowned at her family home in a blow up swimming pool.
According to reports the incident took place at Maharaj Avenue, off Bedeau Street, Gasparillo this on Monday April 4th.
In an Express report the child, Maria Khan went into the pool just after 2pm along with her mother Mary Mahabir.
It was later reported that the child was found submerged and quickly taken from the water.
The paramedics were called; however she died while being treated.
