Two houses robbed in Las Cuevas; Gucci, Louis bags stolen

It seems that residents of Las Cuevas as being targeted by thieves, given the reports of items being stolen from two homes in the area.

In the first incident, a 28-year-old woman returned home after three weeks to find her designer bags, designer perfumes and sneakers missing. Police believe someone may have broken into her home as they noticed an opened window leading to her house.

The stolen items include a Gucci Cross bag valued US $2,550; a Louis Vuitton bag valued US $1,300; a pair of Gucci Sneakers valued US $725; a pair of Balenciaga Sock sneakers valued US $800; a pair of Under Armor trainers valued US $200; a bottle of Joe Malone perfume valued US $200; a bottle of Tom Ford perfume valued US $200; a bottle of Chanel #5 perfume valued US $13; a pair of Gucci sunglasses valued US $475; a pair of French Connection sunglasses valued US $150; a Fossil gold watch valued US $150 and a scale valued US $200.

The thieves also made off with a few electronic items valued at approximately TT $8,000 which included a 32 inch Panasonic TV, a Panasonic DVD surround sound system and a Huawei internet box.

In the second incident, a 37-year-old man told police that when he visited his vacation home on Wednesday, he found a broken window and a hole in the garage wall. Upon checking the house, he noticed a tank of gas along with beers and soft drinks missing.

Police are investigating both reports.
