Trinidad and Tobago records its third case of the Monkeypox virus.
The Ministry of Health says this was confirmed via laboratory testing earlier today.
The patient is a young adult male with a recent travel history.
The relevant County Medical Officer of Health is currently conducting an investigation and has initiated the local public health response, which includes home isolation and contact tracing for the patient.
The Ministry of Health will continue to provide updates to the public as necessary.
