TT experts leave for SVG today as activity increases at La Soufriere volcano

Director of the Seismic Research Center, Dr Erouscilla Joseph, says three personnel from Trinidad and Tobago are scheduled to leave the country at 8:30 this morning for St Vincent and Grenadines to following news of increased activity from La Soufriere volcano detected in the dome over the weekend.

On Tuesday evening, in a live address to the nation, Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, said he asked Trinidad and Tobago to send seismic experts to help in the monitoring process.

Speaking with NEWS POWER NOW Wednesday afternoon, Dr Joseph revealed the persons who are scheduled to make the trip today.

Dr Joseph also revealed the nature of the work local expertise will carry out.
