Oppositon Senator Wary Of Access To Personal Information Through Data Protection Act

The Opposition is claiming the proclamation of certain sections of the Data Protection Act in August 2020            allows the government to gain access to personal information of citizens.

It’s a point highlighted by Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, during a news briefing held by the Political Leader of the United National Congress, Kamla Persad Bissessar, Friday afternoon.

Mr Mark called on citizens to be mindful of the implications of this development and urged them to stand against it.
