Ministry of Foreign Affairs accuses the Opposition of fear mongering; says claims on Immigration Act Amendments flawed

The Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs has accused the Opposition of engaging in fear mongering.

This is in response to their claims that amendments to the Immigration Act will result in a flood of immigrants coming to take citizens’ jobs.

During a press conference on Monday Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Dr Amery Browne noted that as a signatory to the Treaty of Chaguaramas T&T must implement this revised Treaty.

He maintained that the Act also has benefits to citizens of T&T.
