The Riverine flood alert has been discontinued.
The Meteorological Service said from reports received, the major watercourses have been contained and are presenting a slow downward trend.
In a public warning message Friday afternoon, the Met Service said the anticipated impactful rainfall during the course of the day did not materialize and thus, a gradual runoff is expected in areas inundated with floodwaters.
It is urging the population to continue to monitor weather conditions and river/water levels.
