Today the Cabinet took a decision to provide support for the Government and people of The Bahamas in light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Dorian.
During the Post Cabinet meeting this afternoon, Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley announced the following:
The support for our CARICOM brothers and sisters will be as follows:
1. 500,000 USD – to assist the Bahamian Government with its expenses as it grapples with this disaster.
2. 100 personnel from the Defence Force – to assist with the maintenance of law and order.
3. 7 Technical Personnel from T&TEC – to assist with the restoration of electrical power.
