A Gasparillo man was knocked over by a pick-up truck on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Shawn Sieunarinesingh, of Ramdass Street, Gasparillo.
Reports state that around 1.10 pm, a 56-year-old assistant Superintendent SRP, from Claxton Bay was driving his Nissan Frontier along Bonne Aventure Road, Gasparillo, when on reaching Ramdass Street junction, Sieunarinesingh began crossing the road in a northerly direction.
The vehicle collided with Sieunarinesingh, knocking him unconscious.
He was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital but died while undergoing treatment.
