UPDATE: T&T Murder toll now 501: Double murder at Lady Chancellor

Police are investigating a double murder pushing the toll to over 500 for 2019. Reports suggest a 15-year-old boy was one of the victims.

According to police reports just after 6pm, on Friday 6 December, officers received a report that a man, believed to be in his 20s, and a 15 year old boy were found shot to dead in a white Nissan Sylphy at the bottom of Lady Chancellor hill.

They were found by joggers, who observed the parked car running with all windows up.

One of the joggers opened the door and found the bodies.

Police believes the victims were killed by someone who was in the car as shells were found on the backseat with several hundred-dollar bills scattered between the front seats.

Back in November the deceased man was reportedly detained in Grenada on charges of money laundering.

The Royal Grenada Police Force issued a statement that the 35-year-old man of Curepe, Trinidad, was held with over US$20,000.

According to reports Clevon Gill was held by Grenadian authorities appeared at the St. David Magistrate’s Court on Friday November 22, 2019, to answer the charge of money laundering.

Investigators said the Gill was held by police hours after arriving Grenada on Tuesday 19th November, 2019, in Moya, St. Andrew.

He was held with over twenty thousand ($20,000.00) United States Dollars.
