A businesswoman used her licensed firearm to take down a bandit, who attempted to rob her on Saturday at her establishment at Warren Munroe Road, Bejucal, Cunupia.
Around 1pm, an armed bandit dressed in dark blue coveralls, entered the business, Agricultural Supplies and Seedling Co (ASASCO), and demanded cash.
The man then grabbed the proprietress and took her to another room where she was forced to give him cash and jewellery.
However, during the handover, the woman was able to grab her licensed gun and shot the man several times before calling the Cunupia police.
The dead bandit has not yet been identified.
