Minister of Education Dr Nyan Gadsby Dolly says that the Government has not issued a mandate for all students to be vaccinated before resuming physical classes.
She said that the Education Ministry’s position is that parents have to make an informed decision as it relates to their children’s health.
Speaking on TTT this morning, she insisted that the physical re-opening of schools did not directly depend on the vaccination of students.
She said her Ministry has had meetings with stakeholders on a way forward ahead of the start of the new school term.
She also disclosed that the Education Ministry has teamed up with the Ministry of Health for the vaccination program of citizens between 12 and 18 years old.
