Unbeaten Central Zone Cricketers Take On East Zone In Scotiabank Under-15 Inter Zone Tournament Finals

Unbeaten Central Zone cricketers won the toss and elected to take first strike against East Zone in the final of the Scotiabank Under-15 Inter Zone Tournament on Wednesday at the National Cricket Centre Ground in Balmain, Couva.

The teams are captained by Saleem Khan and Yasir Deen respectively and are expected to engage in a keen contest for top honours in the first youth development program final of the 2023 season organised by the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board.

In a short opening ceremony before the start of the 50-over per team contest, Peter Ghany, chairman of the Scotiabank Foundation, sponsors of the tournament, told the cricketers that Central versus East always provides excitement and entertainment.

President of the TTCB, Azim Bassarath, said following Wednesday’s match, the national Under-15 selectors will pick the teams for the North-South Under-15 Classic which will be staged next Wednesday.
