Two Injured Fire Officers Receive Medical Care

The two fire officers injured while on duty Thursday continue to receive medical care at Port of Spain General Hospital.

They suffered injuries when a Skylift reported a malfunction with the boom which resulted in the equipment losing stability, whilst they were operating in the basket.

At the time the officers were responding to a fire at approximately 12:19 a.m. on Observatory Street, Belmont.

After receiving initial medical care it was revealed one officer suffered a fractured left leg whilst the other experienced chest injuries.
