TTRNA tells Gov’t heavy handed approach on mandatory vaccs will not work

TTRNA’s 2nd Vice President Laticia Cox says the Government should take a more relaxed approach to getting nurses to vaccinate and this will produce much more fruitful results.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley announced that effective mid-January, all Government employees will have to be vaccinated to be allowed access to their place of work.

Cox stated that the vaccination rate among nursing staff increased from earlier this year.

She told Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show on Tuesday that had the Government adopted a softer approach instead of demanding mandatory vaccinations this would have gone a longer way in preventing a contentious situation.
