Tobago Chamber of Industry looking forward to positive changes given THA election results

President of the Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Diane Hadad said the business sector is looking forward to positive changes given the new shift in the political landscape.

The Elections and Boundaries Commission’s preliminary results show that the Progressive Democratic Patriots has claimed  a 14-1 victory in the Tobago House of Assembly elections, following Monday’s vote.

Speaking with Power102 Digital this afternoon, Hadad said that citizens made a conscious decision for a new political party to govern over their affairs.

Meanwhile PSA Watson Duke is unlikely to give up his post at the PSA to take up an executive role in the THA.

This is the suggestion coming from PDP Deputy Political Leader and THA Chief Secretary Designate, Farley Augustine.

When asked about Duke’s future in politics given his current union status at the PSA, Hadad said without the harsh ways and force by Watson Duke creating a political party, there would not have been the sudden outcome happening today for Tobago.
