Three Teens Among Twenty-Five Held At House Party In Marabella.

Twenty-five partygoers, three of whom are teenagers, are expected to appear on Tuesday before a San Fernando Magistrate charged with breaching the Public Health Regulations.

They were arrested Thursday night after residents along Ninth Street, Gopaul Lands, Marabella, alerted police about a party in the area.

At 11.30 pm, a team of officers of the Marabella Police Station swooped down on the residence where they discovered twenty-five people playing music, smoking, dancing, and consuming alcohol.

The persons were detained and taken to Marabella Police Station for processing.

The group, who range in ages 13 – 42, and from neighbouring areas and communities as far as Diego Martin and La Horquetta, were subsequently charged.

The teenagers, ages 13, 14 and 16, were released into the care of their parents to be charged by summons.

Marabella Police are thanking the residents for their trust and partnership in seeing something and saying something as the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service continues to detect and deal with breaches of the Public Health Regulations, in its bid to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
