Orange Valley Government Primary gets devices courtesy Habitat for Humanity and PLNL

Habitat for Humanity TT joined forces with Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited (PLNL), to donate 35 electronic devices to the Orange Valley Government Primary School in Couva.

In a release, PLNL President Fitzroy Harewood said the contribution is a worthy investment in the education of youths and he reminded parents and students that proper education is the foundation to the development of the future.

He added: “We support a number of initiatives with a particular focus on social responsibility and the strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth of our fenceline communities. We are also involved in improving the knowledge base of our communities by sponsoring Habitat for Humanity’s training programmes focused on agriculture, disaster preparedness and safety in the home.”

Habitat said the handover was done on Friday at the school.

Along with the electronic devices for the Orange Valley Government Primary school, the organisations also recently gifted 30 families in the community with food hampers. This initiative builds on an earlier initiative where food hampers and sanitation kits were distributed a few months ago.
