The Queens Baton lands in T&T

After making its way from Kingston, Jamaica The Queens Baton has officially landed at Trinidad and Tobago’s Piarco International Airport.

Birmingham 2022 will host the 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay, a journey across the Commonwealth that will see the Queen’s Baton visit all 72 nations and territories, passing through Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania, the Caribbean, and the Americas.

The Trinidad and Tobago Commonwealth Association (TTCGA) launched the visit to T&T on Sunday 17th April.

The Queen’s Baton visit to The Queen’s Baton will travel through the entire commonwealth for 294 days, covering 140,000 kilometres to its final destination. The Birmingham Commonwealth Games will be the largest multi-sport event to be held in England in the last 10 years, with the Opening Ceremony being held on Thursday 28th July 2022!
