Taxi driver shot and wounded in Curepe

A 36-year-old taxi driver from St Joseph was shot and wounded early on Thursday morning.

Reports are that shortly after 5am, the taxi driver was at the taxi stand in Curepe, waiting to pick up passengers, when a man approached, pulled out a gun and shot at his car several times.

The suspect then ran off.

The driver was hit and was rushed to hospital by St Joseph police.
