A proposal is put before the Standing Finance Committee for the Elections and Boundaries Commission to be allocated four million, one hundred and ninety-six thousand and five hundred dollars.
Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert, says the supplemental funding will be used to improve the EBC’s identification card and voter registration systems.
Minister Imbert says the EBC has entered into a contract with the company Del La Rue.
During the deliberations several questions were posed by the Member of Parliament for Chaguanas West, Dinesh Rambally.
One of the areas MP Rambally wanted to get more details on was when the agreement entered into with De La Rue to provide services.
In response Minister Imbert said by Wednesday more information will be provided to the Committee.
