Search on for young man who drowned at Cipero River

The search is currently on for a 21-year-old man, who drowned on Friday in the Cipero River.

Sammy Pierre, of Pleasantville, went to the river at Riverside Drive, San Fernando on Friday afternoon, along with three teenage friends to hunt iguanas.

Reports state that Pierre attempted to swim across the river but got into difficulties.

Officers of the San Fernando CID and Coast Guard divers returned to the scene this morning, to conduct a search of the river for the young man’s body.
