Scrap Iron dealers to protest daily until ban is reversed

Scrap iron dealers will protest every day until the Government reverses its decision to shut down the industry for the next 6 months.

So says leader of the Scrap Iron dealers Association, Allan Ferguson.

Speaking on Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show this morning, Ferguson suggested that the scrap iron dealers are now desperate.

He said while protesters have been told that they shouldn’t block roads, they have refused to listen.

Ferguson said all they can do is tell the protesters to be careful and obey the law.

He is calling for a meeting with the Government as he said they have not yet met to discuss an alternative to banning the industry.
