Scotiabank employee dies

A Scotiabank employee attached to the Chaguanas Main Road branch collapsed on the job this afternoon, Thursday 12 December.

According to several reports the female employee was attending to customers when she collapsed just after 2p.m.

The Scotiabank employee was given CPR by staff but was not able to be revived. She was eventually taken by a Medical Associates ambulance. The bank employee was later pronounced dead by medical officials.

Several banks across the country have extended their banking hours to accommodate customers for the December 31 deadline to exchange old $100 notes for the new polymer note.
