Prime Minister met with Nizam Mohammed on stranded nationals in conflict zones

Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley, as Head of the National Security Council met with former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Nizam Mohammed at Whitehall.

The meeting which was held today, Monday 27th March, 2023, focused on the issue of Trinidad and Tobago nationals stranded in countries deemed conflict zones.

Mr Mohammed was accompanied to the meeting by Mr Kwasi Atiba and Mr Patrick Edwards. This group has been in ongoing discussions with the Muslim Community as it relates to this matter.

The meeting was also attended by the members of the National Security Council subcommittee: the Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Reginald Armour SC, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Dr. Amery Browne and Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young.
