Santa Cruz man shot in Aranguez after he stopped to urinate

A Santa Cruz man was shot during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 26-year-old of Mayfair Gardens was allegedly shot during around 4.30 am on March 26th.

Reports state that he was shot after he stopped to urinate at Sundarsingh Drive, Aranguez.

The victim told police officers that as he entered his vehicle, he felt someone grab his right arm in an attempt to pull him out.

However, he reportedly fought back and drove off.

He then heard a loud explosion and noticed his left forearm bleeding.

The victim allegedly parked his vehicle in the vicinity of Susie’s Bar and fell asleep.

The victim said when he awoke the next day in his vehicle he saw his left forearm bloodied.

Upon checking, he realised he had been grazed in the head, and drove himself to the Eric Williams Medical Science’s Complex, Mt Hope.

He received medical treatment and was discharged.
