Finance Minister, Colm Imbert stated that at least two commercial banks have started dispensing through their Automated Teller Machines the new 100 notes.
There have been long queues at commercial banks as citizens try to exchange the current 100 bills for the new polymer notes.
However, Minister Imbert explained that from feedback received two of the commercial banks are distributing the new 100 bills via there ATM’s.
Mr Imbert also revealed some of the challenging incidents that have been experienced by the banks as persons try to get the new bills.
