Maria Bhola-Paul had the audience wanting more when she performed her selection “People Man’, during the semi-finals of the Calypso Monarch competition last week, but does she have what it takes to beat the field of 11 competitors which includes defending monarch Terri Lyons?
Bhola-Paul will be performing in position number 11, while Lyons will sing in position number one at tomorrow night’s Dimanche Gras show at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain.
Helon Francis, another named tipped for the crown, while sing his powerful hit ‘Mighty’, in position seven, while 2023 NWAC National Calypso Queen Tameika Darius, with her patriotic anthem Now More Than Ever, drew position five.
Snakey, the recent winner of the Young Kings, will sing in 10th position.
