There is the call for a proper sport policy in Trinidad and Tobago which will helped guide young sportsmen and women to excel at the highest level.
This policy national men’s football coach, Angus Eve, believes will serve as a gauge to assess the progress of national teams.
Eve made the comments in the context of a question which was directed at him by the Power Breakfast Show on Thursday morning on the challenges faced in preparation of a national squad for competition.
He cited some of the difficulties the national football team faced ahead of their preparation for various tournaments.
He said the need for continuous support from the public is critical which goes a long way in providing motivation for players and teams.
Eve also cited various actions which can be taken to help the national squad in their preparation for tournaments.
