People queue the length of “Beetham to West Mall” to pay respect to the Queen

Persons in England standing in line to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Hall face a wait time of 14 hours.

This as the queue now stretches more than five miles long. To put that into perspective, the line is about the same distance from the Beetham to West Mall.

There are so many people that the line is at capacity and persons are being stopped form joining the queue.

It has now been paused for at least six hours and government has advised people not to attempt to join it until it re-opens.

The government has published a live queue tracker for people to follow on YouTube.

People queuing are being warned they will need to stand for many hours with little opportunity to sit down, as the queue is constantly moving…albeit VERY slowly.

People who enter the line receive coloured wristbands as they join, so they can leave for a drink, or to go to the toilet, and then return.

Those in the queue are asked however not to attempt to save a place for someone else, or leave personal items unattended, or put up tents.
