Cumuto/Manzanilla MP, Dr. Rai Ragbir, is calling on the Minister of Social Development to revisit the Baby Milk program as it ensures the sustainability of the lives of a child.
Ragbir launched his own version of the Baby Milk initiative within his constituency on February 7th and continued this initiative on Tuesday the 28th of February,2023.
Many families benefited from this initiative and the MP has even ensured that Baby Milk and Formula are given to new born babies to 3-year-olds.
The MP reminds the nation that this initiative was launched due to parents not being able to afford to purchase Baby Milk within the Constituency of Cumuto/Manzanilla.
The MP further reminds the nation that it was during the Peoples Partnership tenure in Government it was the former Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, who brought about the national Baby Milk Program, which was wrongfully discontinued by this Rowley led Administration which the MP totally condemns.
Ragbir’s Baby Milk distribution will continue throughout the year and will ensure that every parent will get Baby Milk and Formula for their baby’s development and health.
He said our nation’s children should not be made to suffer in the way this Government is doing to these children.
Dr. Rai urges the Government to look into their hearts and to know that children are our future and as the Government, they ought to ensure that our children’s lives are sustained.
