An early morning shooting in Arouca this morning has resulted in the death of a 22 year old man.
Around 1am, Sydney Villaroel was at his home in Windy Hill, Arouca – where he lives with his family, when they heard someone knocking on the front door shouting ‘police!’
Villaroel’s 55-year-old mother and his elder brother went to the front door and they were both pushed aside by two men.
The brother was beaten and forced to lie down.
The men then made their way to a room where Villaroel was and shot him before fleeing the scene.
Police are continuing investigations
