NATUC commends the government for the bold decision to sell the oil refinery to the Patriotic Energies And Technologies Co. Ltd.

The National Trade Union Centre of Trinidad and Tobago commends the government for the bold decision to sell the oil refinery to OWTU owned, Patriotic Energies and Technologies company ltd.

The National Trade Union Centre via a media released wished to commend the government for taking the progressive decision to accept the $700 million USD offer made by the Oil Field Workers Trade Union owned Patriotic Energies and Technologies Company Limited for the purchase of the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery.

According to NATUC they have always argued and championed the position for trade unions to be truly economically and financially independent.

NATUC prays that this offer to the OWTU, to participate in the commanding heights of the economy is not selective, but will be entrenched as a business model and philosophy.
