Moment of silence for Dowrich at UWI grad, as 2nd passenger in accident dies

An 18-year-old young man succumbed to head injuries sustained in a car crash that killed his friend almost two weeks ago.

Dominic Cardinal, of La Romaine, was a back-seat passenger in his friend’s Honda Fit car when it collided with a van along South Trunk Road, La Romaine, two Saturdays ago.

The accident resulted in the death of front-seat passenger, 22-year-old Kerissa Dowrich, who died at the scene.

The driver remains in serious condition at the hospital.

Dowrich was buried last week.

A MOMENT of silence was observed for Dowrich during the graduation ceremony for the Faculties of Science and Technology, Food and Agriculture at the University of the West Indies (The UWI) yesterday.

Dowrich would have graduated with honours, with a degree in Information Technology and a minor in International Relations.
