Residents of Guaico Tamana are being assured work has begun to address poor roads which exist from the 17 kilometer mark to the 19.2 kilometer location which is used by loggers in the area.
The villagers recently protested over bad roads in the community
Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan, told the Senate on Tuesday that, regarding the first phase of the rehabilitation work, a contract has already being issued. He added that the aim is to take care of the entire roadway.
Minister Sinanan noted that funding available for the programme will determine how the project moves ahead.
