The Ministry of Labour claims this year it effectively carried out its mandate of promoting Decent Work, Industrial Peace and Opportunities for All.
It said throughout the year the Ministry implemented major projects and programmes guided by the prevailing economic climate, pervading labour market realities and the Government’s priorities.
The Ministry said it worked to connect more ready-to-work Trinbagonians with ready-to-be- filled jobs.
Through its National Employment Service and the On–the-Job Training Programme the Ministry said young persons were prepared for the world of work and improved their employability- critical experience and guidance needed to improve their employment prospects for the rest of their lives.
