Minister of National Security, Stuart Young says he is proud of the members of the T&T Defence Force, in light of their humanitarian efforts to assist the citizens of Bahamas.
Speaking at the Piarco International Airport this morning, Minister Young said that T&T will continue to carry the highest flag in the region and assist neighbouring countries in their time of need.
Minister Young said that members of the Air Guard, Coast Guard and Defence Force are sending personnel to ensure that citizens in Bahamas are given supplies and help with getting back on their feet.
Minister Young also thanked Caribbean Airlines for not charging the Ministry for the trip, as well as corporate T&T for giving supplies to be sent to the country.
He said that the reality after Hurricane Dorian is a devastation no one should endure, but he will do all in his power to assist the citizens of Bahamas.
T&TEC as well as WASA will do their assessments on the ground to see how best they can help.
