Most Of WASA’s Water Treatment Plants Back To Normal, T&TEC Restores Power Following Hurricane Outages

Most of the water treatment plants which were affected by the passage of Hurricane Beryl on Monday are operational again.

By 6pm Tuesday, four additional water treatment plants are scheduled to return to service.

Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonsalves, told the Senatethis afternoon that progress has been made by the Water and Sewage Authority in getting the affected infrastructure back to normalcy.

His response was given to a question posed to him by Opposition Senator, Wade Mark,regarding what actions are being taken by WASA and T&TEC to expedite the restoration of services to the various communities affected by the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

Commenting on the situation relating to the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission it was disclosed the utility has restored supply once again to several communities which had outages during the bad weather on Monday.
