Man Whose Fiancee Loses Baby At Public Hospital Says They Are Still Trying To Deal With The Trauma

The father of one of the babies who died at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Port of Spain General Hospital says he’s still trying to deal with the trauma of losing his child.

Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show Wednesday,  Keron Charles,  said his fiancee was devastated and was crying up to this morning because of the loss.

The obviously shaken dad had a difficult time recounting the events that led up to his baby’s death.

He said the baby was born at 32 weeks and they were told  she needed to be on the ventilator.

He said while a blood transfusion carried out on the baby went well according to the doctors, the baby’s condition seemingly deteriorated after that.
