A man was struck in the head and beaten to death by a mentally-unstable suspect on Sunday.
Reports indicate that Richard Sundar, 43, was at the Rickite Bar near Coquette Junction, Ste Madeline when the suspect, Christopher Evelyn, approached him. Evelyn asked Sundar for a cigarette but he refused, after which Evelyn struck him on the head. Evelyn tried to escape but he was captured by police officers.
He is currently assisting police with investigations. Officers have also obtained security footage of the incident which will assist them with their investigations.
Sundar was a father of one.
