The Transport and Industrial Workers Union has said it is giving the Public Transport Service Corporation a one week extension to address health and safety issues.
President General of TIWU, Judy Charles, speaking with Power 102 Digital, confirmed that she attended Wednesday’s meeting with PTSC and is pleased the corporation gave a commitment to tackle the matters brought to its attention.
Ms Charles said the union is closely monitoring the situation and is willing to show some level of leniency.
Ms Charles denied claims by the PTSC the union engaged in illegitimate industrial action.
She said workers reported for duty and requested a meeting with management.
