Laventille man shot and robbed of US currency in PoS

A 36-year-old Laventille man was shot and robbed of a quantity of US currency at a gas station.
According to reports the man was sitting in the passenger seat of a gold Nissan Almera at around 7.30 pm at the Soo Hong Service Station, Charlotte Street while the driver went to pay for fuel.
A 17-year-old boy was in the back seat at the time of the incident.
Two bandits dressed in black approached the man in the passenger seat and ordered him to hand over his money.
Further reports state that the teenager was able to exit the vehicle and ran away – however the man was shot.
The driver took the wounded man to the hospital where he told investigators the bandits stole a bag containing  US currency.
A team of police from the Central Police Station and the Port of Spain CID are continuing enquiries.
