The local media fraternity is mourning the loss of Mr Joel Nanton who was a beloved journalist, mentor, teacher, and the brother of Sampson Nanton.
Joel lost his life after his battle with a serious illness.
Joel’s impact on the development of the current cadre of local media practitioners through his many years as an educator and mentor will not soon be forgotten.
He was the chair at the Department of Journalism and Media at the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago’s Ken Gordon School of Journalism and Communication.
He also held various roles at several major newsrooms in the country.
